Frequently Asked Questions

Footwear?

When you arrive at your introductory lesson, you'll want to make sure you have a shoe that will stay on your foot. If possible, try and avoid a rubber sole as they can prevent movement.

Brides,

Wait a couple of lessons to get comfortable with your new steps before trying them in heels.

Attire?

Some students come straight from work and arrive "business casual" while others will dance in work out clothes. Whatever you are comfortable in is just fine!

What will we be doing?

On your first visit we will chat about what music you like, if there is a certain dance you would like to learn, if there is a event/wedding coming up for you, etc.  Then we are going to get you moving! You will get a "taste" of  2-3 dances and by no means are you expected to remember them after only one lesson.

Do I need to know my wedding song prior?

You do not need to have this nailed down right away. The best way to go about it is to have 2-3 options, and we will guide you/help you understand which type of dance makes the most sense to those tempos. Let us know all of your first dance desires!
